A great reason not to buy proprietary systems

The Guardian reports that the iPhone keeps a record of everywhere you go. Your location is regularly recorded into a file which is then transfered to your computer when the phone is synced. I am so glad I chose an Android phone. With Android I can be sure that the phone isn't doing this type of thing becuase the code is open source and someone would have found functionality like this long ago. Users of proprietary software have no idea what that software is doing and we now see Apple, which is a premium brand, quietly recording personal data.

More information and a program which will read the file from your iPhone can be found at the iPhone tracker website.
